چکیده

Methods Study population and acquisitions 14 patients with different cardiac pathologies were randomly selected. All patients underwent our clinical routine imaging protocol and additionally real-time (RT) imaging in three short axis slices (apical, medial, basal). RT imaging was performed with a radial Tiny Golden Angle (Ψ7≍23.628°) [2] balanced acquisitions (a=60°) at 1.5T (Philips Achieva 1.5T).

Compressed sensing with synchronized cardio-respiratory sparsity for free-breathing cine MRI: initial comparative study on patients with arrhythmias

Background Evaluation of myocardial function with MRI is challenging on patients with impaired breath-hold (BH) capabilities or arrhythmias due to the difficulty of respiratory motion suspension and synchronization of cardiac cycles. Compressed sensing (CS) enables free breathing (FB) real-time cine imaging with improved spatiotemporal resolution, but conventional temporal sparsifying transform...

Fast Non-Cartesian Reconstruction with Pruned Fast Fourier Transform

PURPOSE: Non-Cartesian imaging is essential in applications such as ultra-short time-echo imaging and realtime cardiac imaging. However, reconstruction speed becomes a limitation when iterative reconstruction is desired for parallel imaging, compressed sensing or artifact correction. In this work, we propose using pruned Fast Fourier Transform (pruned FFT) to accelerate almost all fast non-Cart...

Evaluation of Cardiac Mitochondrial Function by a Nuclear Imaging Technique using Technetium-99m-MIBI Uptake Kinetics

Mitochondria play an important role in energy production for the cell. The proper function of a myocardial cell largely depends on the functional capacity of the mitochondria.  Therefore it is necessary to establish a novel and reliable method for a non-invasive assessment of mitochondrial function and metabolism in humans. Although originally designed for evaluating myocardial perfusion, 99mTc...

Frames for compressed sensing using coherence

We give some new results on sparse signal recovery in the presence of noise, for weighted spaces. Traditionally, were used dictionaries that have the norm equal to 1, but, for random dictionaries this condition is rarely satised. Moreover, we give better estimations then the ones given recently by Cai, Wang and Xu.

Low latency iterative reconstruction of first pass stress cardiac perfusion with physiological stress using graphical processing unit

Background Cardiac MR perfusion has been shown to provide high diagnostic accuracy in detection of the coronary artery disease [1]. We have recently installed an MR-compatible supine bicycle mounted on the scanner table, which allows performing CMR perfusion immediately after physiologic stress. However, patients are unable to sustain a breathold after physical exercise, limiting the choice of ...
